T-Mobile Cuts 77 Jobs, Shuts 6 Stores in Washington State

T-Mobile filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice in Washington state, announcing seventy-seven permanent layoffs and the closure of six retail stores alongside one corporate office. The reductions are scheduled to take effect between September twenty-first and November eighteenth, 2026. Affected personnel include frontline mobile experts, senior corporate directors, and system architects. The Bothell corporate office at Canyon Pointe closed permanently, alongside retail outlets in Seattle, Bellingham, Vancouver, Tacoma, Yakima, and Kennewick. Company representatives cited changing business needs as the primary driver behind the restructuring. The telecommunications provider continues shifting customer transactions toward digital platforms, notably the T-Life application. Parent company Deutsche Telekom is actively eliminating redundant organizational roles across its subsidiaries. Industry analysts expect additional workforce reductions and physical storefront closures as telecommunications providers expand automation and digital-first service models.
