A cryptocurrency token named Trump Digital GOLD collapsed in a sharp flash crash on Saturday after being promoted through channels associated with Real Trump Coins. Promoted at approximately 7:38 AM via an X account followed by former President Donald Trump, the Solana-based token surged to a peak market capitalization of sixty-six million dollars. On-chain analysis by Lookonchain revealed that a single developer and newly created wallets controlled over eighty-two percent of the token supply. By 11:48 AM, the promotional post was deleted, triggering a swift sell-off by fifteen team-associated wallets that dropped the market cap from fifty-five million dollars to roughly one million dollars within thirty seconds. Developers profited approximately three hundred twelve thousand dollars from liquidated holdings. The Real Trump Coins organization issued a statement denying involvement, attributing the promotion to malicious third-party actors while maintaining that promotional material remained active on their official website.
