Florida coach Todd Golden has signed a one-year contract extension worth $49.5 million, keeping him under contract through the 2031-32 season, the Associated Press reported Aug. 28. The agreement raises Golden’s 2026-27 salary from $6 million to $7.5 million and increases it by $300,000 annually, reaching $9 million in the final season. Florida would owe Golden 85% of the remaining value if it fires him without cause, while his college buyout begins at $16 million and declines annually.
