Nineteen-year-old Chinese singer and actor Yu Yuhan became the center of an online controversy after a physical confrontation with an obsessive fan on August 21. Viral video footage captured Yu confronting a woman who allegedly tried to open the door of his moving vehicle and thrust a recording phone near his face in Chongqing, China. Shouting "Are you sick?", Yu swung his fist and knocked the device away without making physical contact with the individual. The incident triggered intense public debate across social media regarding sasaeng culture, stalker behavior, and privacy boundaries for public figures. Supporters argued that the intrusion posed genuine safety risks, while detractors criticized the artist's reaction. In response to the breach, Yu's fan club urged his agency, TF Entertainment, to enhance personal security measures and initiate legal proceedings against intrusive individuals. Yu made his solo musical debut in April 2025.
