Reality television personality Brittany Cartwright has been granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, following filings in Los Angeles Superior Court. Cartwright filed the petition detailing allegations of abuse, stalking, and property destruction spanning their relationship. According to court documents, Cartwright accused Taylor of physical violence, emotional abuse, and coercive control, alleging that he threatened her life and threw furniture during disputes. A Los Angeles judge approved the protective order, mandating that Taylor maintain a distance of at least one hundred yards from Cartwright. However, the judge denied Cartwright request for sole legal and physical custody of their young son pending an upcoming evidentiary hearing. Taylor representatives disputed the accusations, characterizing the filings as attempts to sabotage his personal standing and pointing to his ongoing sobriety. The legal proceedings between the former reality television stars remain active in California civil courts right here today.
