Orlando Bloom Quits Movie Days Before Filming

Orlando Bloom has abruptly departed the independent survival thriller Reset just days before principal photography was scheduled to begin. Bloom was attached to star as the male lead opposite Priyanka Chopra while also serving as an executive producer on the project. No public reason has been disclosed for his sudden exit, which sources indicate has left the cast and crew scrambling during pre-production. Bloom and Chopra's international star power served as the foundation for securing financing and overseas distribution rights for the venture. Producers are actively reviewing a shortlist of three potential replacements to star alongside Chopra, who will help vet the new co-star. Written by Jordan Rawlins and directed by Matt Smukler, the film follows a woman who awakens in the wilderness with total amnesia. Neither actor has issued an official statement regarding the production delay.
