Sydney Sweeney Calls Out Tom Cruise with Death-Defying Plane Stunt

Sydney Sweeney, 28, posted a video on Instagram on Aug. 24 showing her standing on top of an in-flight biplane while it performed turns and rolls, including flipping upside down. The “Euphoria” actress wore a red safety vest and protective goggles and was strapped to the aircraft. She captioned the clip: “watch out tom cruise”. The stunt mirrored Tom Cruise’s wing-walking sequence in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” filmed on an 80-year-old Stearman biplane at 140 mph and 8,000 feet. The Wing Walk Company, which hosted Sweeney in the UK, commented: “You were brilliant….we LOVED having you!” The official “Top Gun” Instagram account responded: “Feel the need for speed”. Actress Leslie Mann wrote: “Be Careful!!”. Sweeney has previously shared footage of bungee jumping and helicopter rides. She recently appeared in the third season of “Euphoria” and will next star in “The Custom of the Country”.
