Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was hospitalized after a frightening injury on the opening kickoff of Saturday night’s 24-21 preseason loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Jackson made a tackle on Patriots returner Lan Larison and remained on the field before medical personnel placed him on a backboard and stretcher and transported him by ambulance. The Eagles said Jackson had strength and movement in all extremities and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. His agent, Damien Butler, later said Jackson was awake, had full movement in all four limbs and received a negative CT scan. Jackson also gave a thumbs-up while being loaded into the ambulance. The Eagles signed the 24-year-old running back on Aug. 10 after Jacksonville released him in May. Jackson spent his 2025 rookie season on the Jaguars’ practice squad. No diagnosis or timetable for his return has been announced. Philadelphia Eagles +2
