Princess Kate joined Prince William and their three children for Sunday worship at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral on August 23, as the British royal family continued its annual Scottish summer gathering. Photographs showed Catherine wearing a pillbox-style hat, a high-neck white blouse, a gray blazer and gold earrings, with lighter hair. Marie Claire described the ensemble as vintage-inspired. People and other outlets reported that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis accompanied their parents. King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward and other relatives also attended. The appearance came days after reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to relocate to Britain with their children, prompting discussion about the family’s relationships. There is no evidence that Kate’s clothing or attendance was intended as a message about the Sussexes. The church visit itself is a recurring Balmoral tradition, while its fashion significance remains media interpretation.
