Philippine actor Derek Ramsay has publicly addressed allegations linking him to a luxury supercar flagged by the Bureau of Customs for severe import document discrepancies. Customs officials reported the vehicle, a Porsche 918 Spyder, was incorrectly declared as a cheap Porsche Boxster to evade substantial luxury taxes. In a social media statement, Ramsay stated he acquired the vehicle four years ago in good faith using personal funds, believing it was fully paid and properly registered with the Land Transportation Office. The vehicle was subsequently sold to a businessman who was driving when flagged for an unauthorized license plate. Ramsay confirmed he possessed valid registration documents under his name because final title transfers remained pending. He expressed full cooperation with ongoing investigations by both regulatory agencies to clarify the transaction history, while urging the original seller to resolve documentation issues surrounding the high value import controversy involving unpaid government tax duties.
