Taylor Swift was reportedly deeply saddened by actress Hayden Panettiere’s death, according to Page Six, while reporting confirms the two shared a Nashville connection. Panettiere, 36, died Aug. 16 in Greenville, South Carolina, after first responders found her in cardiac arrest. Her representative confirmed her death, and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office later said an autopsy found no trauma. The official cause and manner of death remain pending further testing, so reports describing an overdose as established cause are premature. Swift and Panettiere previously lived in Nashville’s Adelicia apartment complex, and Panettiere publicly recalled borrowing Swift’s guitar for a songwriting session in 2012. A Page Six source said the pair remained friendly and that Swift was shocked by Panettiere’s death. Swift’s reported reaction has not been publicly issued as a direct statement. Panettiere was known for “Heroes,” “Nashville,” and the “Scream” franchise. Her family has requested privacy as investigation continues.
