Chris Hansen, the 66-year-old journalist known for "To Catch a Predator," publicly accused A24 of denying him a screening for the film "Primetime" because he refused to sign a legal agreement. During a Fox News appearance on Thursday, Hansen stated he arrived at A24's offices for a 10 a.m. screening but was presented with documents requiring him to sign away rights to his name and image. He claimed he left after refusing. A24 sources disputed this, telling Deadline the document was a standard non-disclosure agreement to prevent spoilers and that such NDAs are signed a week in advance. "Primetime," a thriller starring Robert Pattinson as Hansen, chronicles his "To Catch a Predator" career and the controversy surrounding a 2006 incident. The story has gained traction as a conflict between a public figure and the studio representing his life story, with Hansen comparing the request to extortion.
