Washington Nationals right-hander Cade Cavalli delivered another masterclass Wednesday night, striking out eleven batters across six scoreless innings to defeat the Texas Rangers six to zero at Globe Life Field. Cavalli limited the hosts to three singles and one walk, extending his consecutive scoreless innings streak to seventeen frames. José Tena opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third inning before Andrés Chaparro crushed a towering three-run homer in the seventh to break the game open. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid for Washington, lifting their record to sixty-one and sixty-seven. Relievers Will Dion, Max Kranick, and Jake Bird finished the combined four-hit shutout. Meanwhile, Texas starter Kumar Rocker took the loss after surrendering two runs over five innings. Cavalli has surged during his last ten starts, anchoring the Nationals rotation while drawing widespread praise for his dominant pitching resurgence and exceptional mound command this season.
