Seahawks Sign Felony-Arrested Star Cornerback Terrion Arnold
The Seattle Seahawks are set to sign Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold while he faces eight felony charges, according to Reuters and reports. Arnold, 23, was arrested June 24 in connection with a February incident involving three men near Tampa. Prosecutors allege he helped arrange their kidnapping, beating and armed robbery after believing they stole property from him. Arnold has denied involvement and maintains his innocence. A judge set his bond at $1 million, and Arnold was released under restrictions allowing travel for work and legal matters. Detroit released him June 29. Seattle became the latest of several teams to evaluate Arnold, following visits involving the Texans, Saints and Giants. The NFL has not announced a final decision on whether Arnold will be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. Seattle’s transaction page had not listed Arnold when checked. His next court status hearing is scheduled for October 5 in Tampa.
