Singer and actor Selena Gomez faces a federal securities fraud lawsuit filed in Delaware by investors who claim she and her co-founders misled backers regarding her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The plaintiffs, who invested nearly 1.2 million dollars in 2022, allege that Gomez failed to fulfill contractual duties to promote the company and leverage her massive social media presence. According to the complaint, leadership promised a 95 million dollar valuation, corporate partnerships, and a dedicated mobile application that was never built. Investors state they remained unaware of internal operational chaos and financial struggles until media reports surfaced in late 2025. The lawsuit also names Gomez's mother and co-CEO Mandy Teefey, alongside former business partner Daniella Pierson. Pierson has denied the allegations, while representatives for Gomez and other defendants have not yet issued formal responses. Plaintiffs are seeking to recover their initial investments, legal fees, and financial damages through the federal court system.
