Apple Files New Legal Challenge Against UK Government Over Encrypted iCloud Backdoor Order

LONDON — Apple Inc. has launched a new legal challenge against the United Kingdom government over an official demand seeking access to encrypted iCloud backups, according to court documents disclosed by the Investigatory Powers Tribunal and reported on August 3, 2026.
