LinkedIn Launches "AI Slop" Reporting Button And Scraps AI Writing Tool in Major Platform Policy Reversal

Microsoft-owned professional network LinkedIn is implementing new measures to combat low-quality, artificial intelligence-generated content on its platform. Furthermore, creators whose posts are frequently flagged will receive private notifications on their dashboards. The policy shift marks a notable reversal for the professional networking site, which had previously promoted various artificial intelligence composition tools to boost user engagement. Industry competitors have similarly begun introducing countermeasures against synthetic text as user complaints regarding inauthentic content and low-effort posts increase across digital networks.
