President Donald Trump moved his Friday Cabinet meeting from the White House to the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland, using the rustic compound as a backdrop for his administration’s discussions. According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the session of the Republican president’s second term was intended to be a change of setting for the Cabinet. Camp David, long used by presidents for high-level meetings and strategy sessions, provided a more secluded environment than the typical West Wing conference rooms.
