United States threatens Iranian infrastructure after Hormuz attacks

The United States has escalated its confrontation with Iran after President Donald Trump warned that U.S. forces will bomb an Iranian bridge or power plant each time Iran fires on a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump issued the threat on Wednesday in a post on his Truth Social platform, specifying that targets could include infrastructure in or near Tehran. His remarks followed a reported U.S. missile strike on Iran’s Larak Island in the strait earlier the same day, which Iranian media said caused damage still under assessment. Iran’s Khatam Al-Anbiya command warned that any strike on key sites would mark an expansion of war.
