Washington court grants TV star protection order

A Washington state judge has granted a temporary civil protection order to Solomon Isaiah Freedom “Bear” Brown, of Discovery Channel’s “Alaskan Bush People,” against a man who helped search for Brown’s late brother, Matt. According to Okanogan County Superior Court records, the respondent was part of a private search and rescue group that located Matt Brown’s body in a river in May 2026, after he was reported missing on May 27. The county coroner later ruled Matt’s death a suicide, citing methamphetamine in his system. Bear Brown alleges ongoing stalking, online harassment, and a threatening social media post dated July 22, 2026.
