The White House has initiated an intensive internal investigation after reports revealed security deficiencies involving a new Qatari-gifted aircraft intended for use as Air Force One, according to sources cited by CNN. Last week, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and FBI Director Kash Patel directed the probe from a temporary “war room” in the West Wing. Officials who traveled with President Donald Trump or were involved in the trip were questioned, and some were asked to surrender their mobile phones on-site. At least one federal agency advised staff to consult agency lawyers if approached for information or devices. Some officials reportedly declined to hand over phones.
