Worcester man indicted in killing of woman

WORCESTER, Massachusetts — A Worcester County grand jury has indicted 29-year-old Donovan Foster on one count of murder in the death of Joanna Brown, 30, whose body was discovered in an SUV parked near Mount Vernon Street on November 3, 2025. Brown’s family reported her missing after she failed to show up for a scheduled work shift, prompting a search that led authorities to the parking lot where officers found her deceased inside the vehicle. Investigators identified Foster as a suspect and presented the case to the grand jury, which returned the murder indictment announced this week. Prosecutors said Foster was arraigned Friday in Worcester Superior Court on the murder charge and ordered held without bail. He had previously been arraigned on separate firearm offenses, including carrying a loaded firearm without a license, before the homicide case reached the Superior Court.
