NEW DELHI — A major cyber breach has exposed thousands of sensitive engineering and construction files tied to the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, India’s largest nuclear facility. The ransomware group World Leaks, formerly known as Hunters International, published the data cache on the dark web, Reuters reported on July 16, 2026. The group says it stole the files from Reliance Group, an engineering contractor on the project. About 19,000 files, totaling 14.3 gigabytes, relate directly to the plant and include detailed blueprints and system layouts. Reliance confirmed a partial breach on a server run by third-party provider Yotta Data Services and notified authorities.
