The FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta is extending its hours for the World Cup semifinals on July 14–15, offering live entertainment, international programming and a performance by Ludacris ahead of the first semifinal. Organizers say Tuesday’s Semifinal Eve Celebration runs from 1 to 10:30 p.m., and the festival will open at noon on Wednesday for the Argentina–England semifinal before transitioning into an official Closing Celebration at 6 p.m., with special guests and tributes to Atlanta’s World Cup experience. Festival organizers reported that more than 453,000 fans have visited the site and noted that a limited number of free evening-only tickets, valid after 6 p.m., are available on a first-come, first-served basis; GA+ and VIP tickets are also offered. ATLANTA. The semifinals schedule includes France vs. Spain at 3 p.m. on July 14 in Dallas and Argentina vs. England at 3 p.m. on July 15 at Atlana Stadium in downtown Atlanta. Local watch parties and activations include a free viewing at Founders Green in South Downtown on July 15 (doors open at 3 p.m.; Men in Blazers will begin a live broadcast at 1 p.m.), the Xfinity x SoundCloud Mobile Booth on the BeltLine on July 14 (3–7 p.m.), and daily screenings at The Battery Atlanta’s Plaza Green from July 14–19 (outside food and drinks not permitted). Additional events run at Brews & Hops in Chamblee, Battle & Brew, Lucky Strike Chamblee, Monday Night Grove with the AJC (family-friendly, RSVP required) and an adidas Fan Fest at Phipps Plaza featuring Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts.
