First Hawaiian said it will acquire TriCo Bancshares in an all-stock deal valued at $63.12 per TriCo share, based on its July 10 close, with TriCo holders receiving 2.095 First Hawaiian shares each. The merger, expected to close by the end of 2026, would leave First Hawaiian and TriCo investors owning about 65% and 35% of the combined company, which would hold roughly $34 billion in assets and be the sixth-largest bank headquartered in the Western U.S. The company also provided preliminary Q2 2026 results, expecting $73.4 million in net income, and shares were down 5.11% pre-market at $28.59.
