Dubai police probe fatal fall of Brazilian influencer

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Brazilian model and social media influencer Kauana Bilhar, 27, died after falling from the 27th-floor balcony of her apartment in a high-rise building in Dubai earlier this week. Bilhar, who had been living in the country for the past two years, reportedly fell directly from the balcony of her residential unit, according to statements given by a relative to Brazilian outlet G1. Her mother, Darla Bilhar, officially confirmed her death on July 11, 2026. At the time of the incident, Bilhar’s partner and fiancée, fellow model Barbara Abrantes, was inside the apartment and immediately informed the family and local authorities about the fall. Dubai police have opened a formal investigation and are examining all possible circumstances surrounding the incident, including accidental fall, suicide, or homicide, as they work to reconstruct the events leading up to Bilhar’s death. Abrantes has provided detailed statements to investigators as part of the ongoing inquiries. The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is closely monitoring the case and is coordinating with the Brazilian Embassy in Abu Dhabi to offer consular support to the family. Following the confirmation of her daughter’s death, Darla Bilhar traveled from Brazil to Dubai to meet with investigators and arrange for the repatriation of her daughter’s remains.
