Hammond in line to be the starter for Texas Tech come Week 1

Frisco, Texas: Head Coach Joey McGuire said Tuesday at Big 12 Football Media Days that Will Hammond could start for Texas Tech in Week One against Abilene Christian, pending clearance from team doctors and medical staff; Hammond is a 6'2" redshirt sophomore who has appeared in 12 collegiate games. Lumberton, North Carolina: Jaelyn Hammond was named the N.C. Softball Coaches Association 7A East Player of the Year after a season in which she hit .544 with a .583 on-base percentage, recorded 30 stolen bases and 49 hits; the award follows the completed season and recognition of other Lumberton players on All-State lists.
