Palm Beach airport renamed after President Donald J. Trump

Palm Beach, Florida. On Thursday, a months-old state law took effect renaming Palm Beach International Airport as President Donald J. Trump International Airport, and the Federal Aviation Administration authorized the change, shifting the airport identifier to DJT. The airport serves more than eight million passengers annually and is located a few miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. This week Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted images of updated interstate signage, and airlines, airport authorities and government databases will adopt the DJT identifier in official records. In January, a four-mile stretch of the main road linking Mar-a-Lago to the airport had already been renamed, and local and national figures have publicly reacted to the renaming.
