New Braunfels music venue enters Chapter 11 bankruptcy

New Braunfels, Texas-based Whitewater Amphitheater has entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after its operating company, Kona Coast Venture Ltd., filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The voluntary filing, submitted shortly after 10:00 a.m., triggered an automatic stay that halted a foreclosure sale scheduled for later the same day. Court documents list estimated assets between $10 million and $50 million and liabilities between $1 million and $10 million. The outdoor venue, opened in 2007 along the Guadalupe River and holding about 5,600 people, has emphasized that it intends to maintain operations.
