Fort Collins plant to build Apple Broadcom chips

Apple Inc. has signed a multiyear agreement with Broadcom Inc., announced Wednesday, July 8, 2026, to manufacture custom silicon and advanced wireless components in the United States. The deal, expected to exceed $30 billion, is the largest commitment so far under Apple’s American Manufacturing Program, launched in 2025 to reshore key technology supply chains. Broadcom will produce more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips for Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs and wearables. To meet demand, Broadcom will invest $1.5 billion to expand and modernize its Fort Collins, Colorado, facilities, supporting hundreds of high-tech jobs and focusing on RF and FBAR filter production.
