Washington DC sees masked Patriot Front march

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, hundreds of masked members of Patriot Front, a neo-fascist white nationalist group, marched through Washington, DC as the United States marked the 250th anniversary of its independence. The demonstration, reportedly led by Patriot Front founder Thomas Rousseau, began in front of Union Station before moving through several residential and commercial areas in the Capitol Hill area. Participants wore standardized outfits including white face masks, sunglasses, dark blue shirts, khaki pants, and baseball caps, and carried Confederate flags, inverted American flags, and organizational banners. Videos and photos show members using the Washington Metro, exiting at stations including Eastern Market and New Carrollton.
