Multiple house fires displace residents across U.S. towns

North Haven, Connecticut: Firefighters responded to a house fire on North Hill Road Friday night after a report at 7:15 p.m., initiating an interior attack amid heavy smoke, attacking flames in first- and second-floor walls and reporting attic heat; crews relayed 1,800 feet of supply hose and five people were temporarily displaced. Responders also reported a fully involved car fire on Washington Avenue while en route. Spencerport and Shelby County crews responded the following morning and midday: Spencerport Fire District controlled a Webster Road house fire just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday in under 30 minutes with one person treated on scene, while Shelby County units answered a Cordova home fire around 11:30 a.m. Saturday where residents evacuated and a pet remained inside. Agencies, including the Monroe County Fire Bureau and the American Red Cross, are assisting displaced residents and investigating causes; firefighters remained on scene into Saturday afternoon in at least one incident.
