Authorities identified the victim as Bart Diguglielmo, a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant, who was struck by a single gunshot in the parking lot shortly before 12:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead; the woman involved told investigators she fired in self-defense.
