Utah police review Taylor Frankie Paul protective order call

BLUFFDALE, Utah — Police in Bluffdale, Utah, confirmed that officers were contacted at about 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, by Dakota Mortensen, the ex-partner of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul, about a possible violation of their mutual protective order. Mortensen, 33, asked officers to clarify the terms of the active order that governs custody and visitation exchanges for the former couple’s 2-year-old son, Ever, including whether third-party individuals may assist with the child’s drop-offs and pick-ups. Following Mortensen’s call, officers contacted Paul, 32, by phone to gather her account and confirm that both parents were following the established exchange hours and the conditions set out in the protective order. Authorities said there was no physical altercation between Mortensen and Paul and confirmed that the two have not had direct contact with one another since the dual restraining orders were issued. The Bluffdale Police Department stated that there are currently no active criminal charges or open cases against either party. However, officers forwarded the case file to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office for further review to determine whether any technical violation of the order occurred. Over the weekend, Paul appeared to reference the police involvement in a brief Instagram Story post in which she wrote that the “cops called on me again THIS WEEK,” before deleting the message shortly afterward.
