The U.S. Supreme Court is nearing the end of its current term, expected to conclude in early July, with several major rulings pending on presidential authority and election rules. Justices are set to decide challenges to former President Donald Trump’s efforts to expand removal power over officials in independent agencies such as the Federal Reserve and Federal Trade Commission. They will also rule on the legality of a Trump executive order seeking to limit birthright citizenship, disputes over Mississippi’s mail-in ballot deadline and federal campaign coordination limits, and challenges to Idaho and West Virginia laws restricting transgender athletes’ participation in female sports.
