The multi-day pattern is expected to send additional rounds of storms from the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys toward the Appalachians, mid-Atlantic, and portions of the Northeast, prompting authorities in Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri to remain on alert for flash flood emergencies and urging residents to follow official warnings and avoid flooded roadways.
