OMAHA, Neb. Georgia catcher Daniel Jackson was named the 2026 Dick Howser Trophy winner Friday, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced during the College World Series. Jackson, the SEC Player of the Year, earned the honor after a season in which he totaled 31 home runs, roughly 26 stolen bases and led conference offensive categories. The award recognizes Jackson's conference triple crown and national statistical leadership; he is the second Georgia player to win following Charlie Condon in 2024. The NCBWA also announced ancillary awards including Sam Cozart as Stopper of the Year and Steve Sabins as national coach of the year; Georgia prepares to face Texas in the College World Series this week.
