A Honolulu resident, Ronald Saville, allegedly emailed the Michigan State Police on May 9 saying he planned to enter the state capitol with an AR-15, open fire and kill 'as many people as possible,' and he separately emailed Gov. Gretchen Whitmer with a threat that prosecutors say included saying he was 'coming for' her. Authorities say the messages prompted federal investigation. Abilene, Texas. Federal prosecutors charged Saville with sending threats by interstate communication after his arrest in Abilene on Monday; the U.S. Attorney said Saville later told an FBI agent he wanted to kill Whitmer because of her political affiliation and had researched travel plans online. He made an initial appearance in federal court in Texas, was detained and ordered transported to Hawaii, and faces prison time, fines and supervised release if convicted.
