Tennessee baseball, the No. 2 seed (38-21), will play No. 4 VCU (37-24) in an elimination game at Boshamer Stadium on May 30 at noon after both teams dropped into the losers bracket of the Chapel Hill Regional following losses to East Carolina and North Carolina. A loss on May 30 would end the defeated team's season; the winner advances to another elimination game on May 31 at noon against the loser of No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 3 East Carolina. Coach Josh Elander said the team should use its 'back against the wall' position as motivation, and Tennessee has not announced a starter while Tegan Kuhns remains available.
