CHULA VISTA, Calif. — On Tuesday family members testified in the murder trial of Larry Millete, accused of killing his wife Maya in January 2021. Witnesses included Maya's father, Pablito Tabalanza, who testified that Larry showed a gun and said he wanted to kill someone, and her sister, Maricris Drouaillet, who described estate actions. During proceedings this week the courtroom saw emotional moments: Tabalanza rose and shouted at the defendant and later collapsed, and Drouaillet testified about filing guardianship and conservatorship amid foreclosure concerns.
