Idaho Falls — Incumbent Republican representatives Stephanie Mickelsen and Erin Bingham are campaigning to retain seats in Legislative Districts 32A and 32B ahead of the May 19 primary this week; Mickelsen is challenged by Kelly Golden, and Bingham faces Brian McKellar, with questionnaires published by EastIdahoNews.com and noted responses recorded. Pocatello’s District 29 also has a contest between Rep. Tanya Burgoyne and challenger Jennifer Miles; winners of the May 19 primary will appear on the Nov. 3 general election ballot. Separately, on May 17 Idaho Power reported outages affecting more than 6,400 customers in Payette County areas and 580 near Melba, with crews setting restoration target times.
