San Antonio, Texas — The San Antonio Spurs advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2017 by eliminating the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 139-109 win in Game 6 of their second-round series on Friday night. Julius Randle was limited to three points on 1-for-8 shooting as the Timberwolves faded late in the series, and coach Chris Finch said the team “ran out of bullets” as the games wore on. The Spurs’ victory sets up a Western Conference Finals matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have not lost in the 2026 playoffs. San Antonio took four of five meetings from Oklahoma City in the regular season, and the conference finals series is scheduled to begin Monday.
