Lucknow businessman Prateek Yadav, 38, son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, died on the morning of May 13, 2026, following a reported head injury. Civil Hospital authorities in Lucknow said he was declared dead at 5:55 a.m. Hospital director Dr. G.P. Gupta stated that medical teams were alerted around 5:00 a.m., found Yadav in critical condition at his residence, and transported him to the hospital, where resuscitation efforts failed. Gym partner Swapnesh Pandey said Yadav sustained a head injury in his room late on May 12 and had been under medical treatment earlier. Authorities plan further inquiries into the cause of death.
