DUBAI/WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday he was unhappy with an Iranian proposal that would postpone discussion of Iran's nuclear programme until after the two-month war ends, a U.S. official told Reuters, following a meeting with his top national security advisers and after regional mediators engaged in diplomacy. The reaction dampened hopes for an immediate resolution, as the conflict has disrupted energy supplies and fuelled inflation, Reuters reported this week; on Apr 25 Trump canceled an envoy visit to Islamabad, the White House reiterated red lines through spokeswoman Olivia Wales, and Pakistani sources said mediation efforts continue despite stalled progress.
