The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) report that more than 150 Hezbollah operatives, including several field commanders, were killed in extensive airstrikes across Lebanon in the 24 hours before a ceasefire took effect. On Thursday, Israeli aircraft struck approximately 300 Hezbollah-linked targets, including rocket launchers, command centers and weapons depots. Among the dead, according to the IDF, was Ali Reda Abbas, the commander of the Bint Jbeil area, described as the fourth commander of that sector killed by Israel in recent years. The military says that since hostilities escalated amid the wider Iran conflict, over 1,800 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in Lebanon.
