Texas AG Issues Probe Into Lululemon PFAS Claims

Austin, Texas — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Monday issued a Civil Investigative Demand to Lululemon USA Inc., opening a probe into whether the company’s athletic apparel contains per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and whether the company misled consumers about product safety, quality and health impacts, according to the attorney general’s office. The CID allows investigators this week to gather documents and review Lululemon’s restricted substances list, testing protocols and supply-chain practices before deciding on legal action; Lululemon says it phased out PFAS in fiscal 2023 and reported more than $11 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025, while the attorney general’s office said it will hold the company accountable if Texas law was violated.
