Michigan hockey falls to Denver in double overtime in Frozen Four

Michigan's season ended one step short again, falling 4-3 to Denver in double overtime at the Frozen Four on Thursday. Despite outshooting the Pioneers 52-26, the Wolverines saw Kent Anderson bury the winner after Clarke Caswell forced overtime late in regulation. Michigan had led 3-2 on Jayden Perron’s power-play strike, following first-period goals by Josh Eernisse and T.J. Hughes—his 22nd of the season—while Denver answered through Kyle Chyzowski and Cale Ashcroft. Denver advances to face Wisconsin on Saturday, chasing an 11th national title; Michigan remains without one since 1998.
