Leiter and Burger lead the Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the Orioles

Jack Leiter struck out eight across six innings and Jake Burger drove in two runs as the Texas Rangers defeated the Baltimore Orioles 5-2 on Monday, with Leiter allowing two runs on five hits and a walk in his 2026 debut. The result gave Texas its third straight win this week; Chris Bassitt, making his first start for Baltimore, lasted 4 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, while Jakob Junis, Jalen Beeks and Tyler Alexander worked scoreless relief innings, with Alexander closing the game.
