Michigan regroups, rolls past Louisville to reach Elite Eight

Second-seeded Michigan shook off a ragged start and roared past third-seeded Louisville 72-51 in a Fort Worth 3 regional semifinal Saturday. Olivia Olson scored eight of her 19 in the third quarter as the Wolverines seized control; Syla Swords added 16, including a momentum-starting 3-pointer, and Te'Yala Delfosse had 10. After trailing 25-14, Michigan closed the half on an 18-2 run and dominated a stretch of 23 of 27 points. Louisville’s Elif Istanbulluoglu had 18, but the Cardinals shot 35.4%. Michigan faces Texas or Kentucky Monday for its first Final Four berth.
