Washington — The U.S. Treasury announced Thursday that President Donald Trump's signature will appear on new U.S. paper currency as part of the nation's 250th anniversary commemorations, marking the first time a sitting president's signature will be featured; officials said the first $100 notes are scheduled for printing in June. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will also sign the redesigned bills while the Treasurer's signature will be removed, ending a 165-year practice; officials said the new notes may take several weeks to enter circulation and noted that a commemorative coin bearing the president's image was approved earlier this month.
